ClearPoint Metrics Board of Directors James Acquaviva Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, ClearPoint Metrics Marc Sokol Partner, JK&B Capital With more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Marc is a partner at JK&B Capital, a venture capital firm whose concentration is on the software, IT and communications markets. He is a widely recognized authority on Internet and infrastructure technologies and frequently conducts seminars for CIOs to maximize their business value from information technology. Before joining JK&B, Marc was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Marketing at Computer Associates International, Inc.(CA). He successfully managed CA’s merger and acquisition activities, including investments in technology ventures. Tasha Seitz Partner, JK&B Capital Ms. Seitz joined JK&B Capital in 1997 and has focused on the software sector, working with companies such as Interwoven, Andromedia and Synchrologic. Prior to joining JK&B, Ms. Seitz was an information technology industry analyst at Gartner Group advising Fortune 500 and Global 1000 clients in their implementation of technology over a five-year strategic planning horizon. She worked in the areas of Local Area Communications and Applications Development & Management before founding Gartner's Multimedia service in 1993. While at Gartner, Ms. Seitz advised on electronic publishing and led efforts to deliver research to Gartner's clients in multimedia. Ms. Seitz earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wellesley College and a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Stephen Katz President, Security Risk Solutions Stephen Katz is founder and president of Security Risk Solutions, an information security company providing consulting and advisory services. He is the world's first CISO and held positions at JP Morgan, Citibank/Citigroup and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Katz is a prominent figure in the information security discipline and has been a leading force in increasing the visibility and shaping the direction of the security industry. He also the founder and past chairman of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center. ClearPoint Metrics Advisory Council Dr. Daniel Geer Chief Information Security Officer, In-Q-Tel Dr. Daniel Geer serves as Chief Information Security Officer at In-Q-Tel, not-for-profit investment firm that works to identify, adapt, and deliver innovative technology solutions to support the mission of the U.S. Intelligence Community. Dr. Geer is an expert in computer security and has been recognized as a pioneer in the space for his insight into the critical issues that plague the security industry. He has been featured in publications such as Network World, Search Security and InfoWorld. Dr. Geer has served in multiple advisory roles for various organizations including the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Defense, the Institute for Information Infrastructure Protection and more. Dr. Geer will serve as the chairman of the ClearPoint Metrics advisory board. Andrew Jaquith Independent Information Security Analyst As an independent analyst, Andrew advises enterprise clients on prioritizing and managing security resources within their organizations. Previously, Andrew was a senior analyst at Yankee Group working with clients on various projects including market strategy, product development, and go-to-market initiatives. Andrew’s research focused on client endpoint security, packaged and custom web-based applications, and security metrics and measurement. Andrew has 15 years of experience in IT. In his tenure, he co-founded and served as Program Director at security consulting pioneer @stake, Inc. (acquired in 2004 by Symantec Corporation). At @stake, he managed strategic client relationships and directed the Hoover Project, an initiative within the firm to improve clients’ abilities to quantify the risks and returns of security investment. Andrew has also held project manager and business analyst positions with Cambridge Technology Partners and FedEx Corporation. His application security and metrics research has been featured in CIO, CSO, InformationWeek, the IEEE Journal of Security and Privacy and The Economist. Andrew contributes to several security-related open source projects and is the author of the book from Addison-Wesley Publishing, Security Metrics. Andrew has a BA in economics and political science from Yale University.
